Do not wish to be anything but what you are, and try to be that perfectly.
-St. Francis de Sales

As I write, feel lost, write, feel inspired, write, walk, eat, sit, write and feel, most of all feel, I find great comfort in these words above.

There are times when I know so surely that what I am doing is perfect, that there is nothing else that I should be doing, and there are times when I feel lost and afraid. Reflecting on the words above by St. Francis de Sales, I am reminded that it is ok. I remember who I am, recognize that sometimes I can’t do everything on my own, that others are there to help me remember, and reclaim my belief in myself and my purpose.

As soon as I reclaim who I am, I am given a sign and directions back to my path. Often it comes in the form of a chance encounter with someone who shares a few words, that may lead to an exchange, and a story.

The more often these encounters happen, the more I recognize the special messages they hold. They are always helpful to me for what I am feeling or experiencing at that moment.

When we remember to look outward when we become lost there will always be a sign pointing the way back to the light. You just have to remember to look, and to recognize them when they come. They will keep coming. When you start to be aware of them you realize that you will always have all the help you need.

You learn to ask for signs, for help. It is important to take the time to feel thankful afterwards. This vibration is one of the most powerful, most harmonious, most beautiful. It benefits you, and radiates outwards to touch and transform the world around you.

So for today, I invite you to take a moment to be thankful for the people and places that help you find the way back to yourself, and most of all to be thankful who you are.
