Someone once said to me, “Don’t ask for something and then take it back, you can’t do that.”

Reflecting on this, I believe you can. If what you have asked for is no longer what your truth is, if life has given you events that have revelaed to you that what you once believed you wanted is not now the truth of your heart, you can. Nothing is forever, except love, that is the creative force of the cosmos. Your truth is this same vibration, and living your soul’s purpose is  allowing your thoughts, words and actions to come from your heart in each and every moment.

Don’t take your wish back out of fear. If it is still your truth, then you must treasure it, hold it and let it lead you. Be aware of each wish, know what you’re choosing and why. Don’t judge something as right or wrong, simply assess whether you will treasure it and appreciate it  right now.

Do not wish to be anything but what you are, and try to be that perfectly.
-St. Francis de Sales

As I write, feel lost, write, feel inspired, write, walk, eat, sit, write and feel, most of all feel, I find great comfort in these words above.

There are times when I know so surely that what I am doing is perfect, that there is nothing else that I should be doing, and there are times when I feel lost and afraid. Reflecting on the words above by St. Francis de Sales, I am reminded that it is ok. I remember who I am, recognize that sometimes I can’t do everything on my own, that others are there to help me remember, and reclaim my belief in myself and my purpose.

As soon as I reclaim who I am, I am given a sign and directions back to my path. Often it comes in the form of a chance encounter with someone who shares a few words, that may lead to an exchange, and a story.

The more often these encounters happen, the more I recognize the special messages they hold. They are always helpful to me for what I am feeling or experiencing at that moment.

When we remember to look outward when we become lost there will always be a sign pointing the way back to the light. You just have to remember to look, and to recognize them when they come. They will keep coming. When you start to be aware of them you realize that you will always have all the help you need.

You learn to ask for signs, for help. It is important to take the time to feel thankful afterwards. This vibration is one of the most powerful, most harmonious, most beautiful. It benefits you, and radiates outwards to touch and transform the world around you.

So for today, I invite you to take a moment to be thankful for the people and places that help you find the way back to yourself, and most of all to be thankful who you are.

I have been traveling. Like each trip can show us, this one revealed to me what is most important right now. Visiting London, Glastonbury, Venice, Rome, Turin and now back in Istanbul, I am back from where I started from, but I am not the same. Each place held for me different experiences, waiting for me to step into and receive their special blend of energies. The alchemy between each place, each person and my own vibration created experiences perfect for showing me how to move forward at this time, how to grow in the direction my heart has been pulling me towards.

Like each trip, each day can be like this. Life is breathtaking – in its beauty, in its monumental power to transform from one instant to another. This is its challenge and its gift. It is up to us what we do with it, whether we wait quietly, allowing events to whirl around us, to sit day after day, unchanging, or whether we choose to step into its center, reach our our arms and spin, spin our essence out for others to see, feel and respond to. Your life is your own. There is a time for all things. When you let your heart tell you what to say or do, how to get to where you want to go, when to give everything you have and when to be still, you claim each day as the gift it is.

In Istanbul now it is colder than I am used to. Many things are different than in Asia, and some trigger memories of other European cities, other times. Here I love walking through the streets, fresh pomegranate juice, lentil soup, trying a hookah, the warmth of people I encounter and even the cold air.
Being here is both a time of opening to new challenges and remembering parts of myself that have been forgotten.

Friday will be Spring Equinox when life balances for a moment, holding us gently so that we can embrace the potential for a new cycle of being. Right now, these days before Spring dawns, is a precious time to open to everything that has been perhaps calling for your attention. It is time to face challenges, fears, regrets. It is a time to take responsibility for clearing everything that holds you captive. It is a time to surrender to who you are, to the calls of your heart, preparing for a new cycle, a new spring.

It is a time of increasing change. I race to prepare for my departure in a few days for a year of travel and I am experiencing often now that what I hold in my thoughts as the way something is, is quickly revealed to be otherwise. This is the energy of right now. Everything is transforming, as we ourselves are. This is an incredible time where we can let go of many things we have been holding on to that no longer serve us.

We are vibrating energy that moves. The more we allow ourselves to feel and to breathe, the more quickly we align with the natural flow of creation. Feelings are not to be feared. Often we hold them in because we fear being hurt. The truth is that when you allow yourself to cry, to express the energy that needs to move, the more easily you regain your balance, the more quickly you return to the essence of creation that is love, and an infinite network of support.

For every transformation to occur energy must be moved. Now is the time to allow yourself to let go of your fears, your limiting beliefs, now is the time to surrender to the energy of creation that is flowing, that is life, that is love.

Breathe, sigh, breathe, sigh, breathe, sigh. Come home.

our dreams are precious. they are beams of light that guide our souls through the tangle of our conditioned fears that hold us captive.

our dreams are gifts from our soul; the glimpse they offer of the deepest yearnings of our heart give us that push we sometimes need to keep going, to never give up, to reach for the stars.

our dreams help us to remember why we are here – to play in the dance of life, where the challenge is to never forget that we are already home, that we are all we ever wish we could be, that we are eternal, that we are love itself.
